Customer Service Representative

Job Summary
Baribault Fuel, a family-owned home heating oil, propane, and HVAC company located in Oakville, CT, is seeking a positive, goal-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused individual whose primary responsibility will be to answer incoming customer calls, provide exceptional service, and educate customers about our products and services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a professional and friendly demeanor, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming customer calls in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner.
  • Provide information regarding heating oil, propane, HVAC services, and related products.
  • Assist customers with account inquiries, service requests, fuel deliveries, scheduling, and billing questions.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services, and programs.
  • Resolve customer concerns and issues efficiently while ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Accurately enter and maintain customer records, account information, and documentation.
  • Process customer transactions and update account information as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

 

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with computers and the ability to quickly learn company software and systems.
  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office applications and accurate data entry/typing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Previous customer service or office experience is preferred but not required.
